The available 5.0L Coyote V8 engine delivers the power and capability of a classic V8: 5,900 kg of towing force - great news if you tow a lot for work or recreation. Load capacity up to 1,500 kg and 400 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 560 Nm of torque as low as 3,250 rpm. This legendary Coyote Ford V8 with 10-speed transmission provides everything you need, plus a best-in-class maximum payload of up to 1500 kg. Experience a robust 400 horsepower and 560 N/m of torque, with highly sophisticated Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT), as well as Ford's Ported Fuel Direct Injection (PFDI) system with two injectors per cylinder - one in the air intake, the other inside the cylinder - to increase power. And new VDE (Variable Displacement Engine) technology allows the engine to shut down half of the cylinders when full power is not required. 10-speed automatic transmission
F-150 EcoBoost®, V8 and diesel engines deliver their power through an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Compared to a 6-speed, the 10-speed transmission delivers improved overall performance with increased low- and mid-range acceleration. Features include optimized wide-ratio gear ratios, drag reduction and three-speed overdrive. Plus, you can choose from selectable modes: Normal, Tow-Haul, Snow-Wet, EcoSelect and Sport.

Extremely strong, steel frame
The fully boxed frame is made with more solid steel (up to 78%) and larger cross-sections than the previous generation. And while this frame is stronger and stiffer, it's also up to 27kg lighter, as many components are made using a state-of-the-art rolling process that minimises weight.
