OEM style, multi-color function. Mustang's factory headlights feature typical "tribar" DRLs. By replacing the circuit boards inside with Diode Dynamics LED circuit boards, you can add full multi-color functionality along with an optional amber sequencer mode to make your ride seriously stand out! Your order includes two sets of LED boards, one for each side of the vehicle.

RGBW . This product is not just RGB, it's RGBW! This means that in addition to the standard red, green and blue LEDs, there is an additional LED chip that is specifically white. With the RGBW controller, you can activate and control the white chip independently of the colors. This provides a much more uniform, cleaner and brighter white color than the traditional method of combining all the RGB signals, so you can maintain a clean, factory white look for everyday driving.

OEM grade design . At Diode Dynamics we work directly from OEM data and use a 3D scanner to develop exact replacement boards with identical mounting points and shape. Just remove the original boards and ours will snap right into place with proper alignment. You'll also see OEM design features such as high-intensity automotive radiators, cable connectors and serial numbers for quality assurance.

It works properly, no surprises . In 2014, Diode Dynamics was the first to produce replacement multi-color circuits. Our goal is for them to work just like the factory system - except you can change the color whenever you want! This means connecting to the factory DRL and lighting the lights for proper function. It's not as easy as it sounds - on the Ford Mustang, all functions are powered through the vehicle's computer, rather than a traditional relay. If the vehicle does not experience the expected energy consumption, it deactivates the signal. Many of our competitors skip the factory signals and instruct customers to connect power to the battery and manually turn the LEDs off and on each time they are used. Not ideal!

To ensure an upgrade without disabling factory features, our engineers spent dozens of hours with our own Mustang and consulted with Mustang owners overseas to fine-tune the controls. They draw enough power to illuminate the boards brightly, with factory functions, but do not cause any errors in the vehicle's computer. The included instructions show you exactly which wires to connect to, no guesswork. Everything works perfectly, without errors: with Diode Dynamics products, there is no need to sacrifice factory functions!

Optically correct . Unlike bands or halos, replacement plates work in conjunction with the factory optics in your headlight. Because the factory setting only uses one white chip, it can be difficult to properly align the light from all four replacement emitters (red, green, blue, and white). To save costs, other brands often use cheap generic chips that can't focus the light properly. This creates an odd look as some parts are brighter than others and mixed colors like yellow and purple don't go together. Diode Dynamics uses high-intensity automotive emitters to properly direct light into the factory optics, and all designs are tested multiple times with small adjustments to ensure the setup is optimized. Even a 0.1mm change can make a big difference and Diode Dynamics products are carefully tuned for maximum performance.

Reliable operation . A waterproof constant current inductive driver is included in each kit to safely control the high power LEDs. Designed to last the life of your vehicle, these controllers have been subjected to advanced transient voltage testing. These tests replicate the electrical wear and tear that occurs in the automotive environment every time your alternator starts and stops, which is what kills less robust electronics over time. The entire kit is also tested for long-term operation from -40 to 185 degrees F, vibration and corrosion. All of these tests are completed to SAE/DOT standards, just like the factory components.
